Joyful Foaming Soap
If you are a fan of essential oils and have a collection of fragrances, then why not create your own blend and create this joyful foaming soap?
Yield: 1 (8-ounce) bottle foam soap
Total Time: 20mins
Ingredients:
Joyful Essential Oil:
- 20 drops bergamot essential oil
- 20 drops of ylang ylang essential oil
- 15 drops rosewood essential oil
- 10 drops lemon essential oil
- 10 drops geranium essential oil
- 5 drops palmarosa essential oil
- 5 drops jasmine essential oil
- 3 drops mandarin essential oil
- 3 drops rose essential oil
- 3 drops roman chamomile essential oil
Foaming Soap:
- 4-5 tbsp unscented castile soap
- ½ tsp vitamin E oil
- Pinch sea salt
- 16 drops joyful essential oil*
- 4 drops rosemary essential oil
- Distilled water
Special Equipment:
- Small non-reactive bowl
- Small funnel
- Dropper bottle
- 1 (8-ounce) foaming soap dispenser
- Label
Directions:
1. First, in boiling water, wash and dry any special equipment inside and out.
2. For the joyful essential blend, combine the essential oils in a bowl (bergamot, ylang ylang, rosewood, lemon, geranium, palmarosa, jasmine, mandarin, rose, and roman chamomile). Using a funnel, transfer the blend to a dropper bottle. Swirl to combine.
3. Add the soap to the container, followed by the vitamin E oil and a pinch of sea salt.
4. Add 10 drops of the prepared joyful blend, along with the rosemary essential oils. Some oils are more potent than others, so add the EO a few drops at a time until you achieve your preferred level of fragrance.
5. Top up the mixture with distilled water until the container is almost full, but make sure to leave enough space for the pump.
6. Place the pump on the bottle, close, and shake vigorously to combine. Label the bottle.
7. Use as and when needed.
8. Essential oils tend to settle over time, so shake from side to side before each use.
